Friends,
We’re recruiting for our Care Fellowship program again!
|
Over the last three years, our Care Fellowship has offered a unique opportunity to bring caregiving stories like yours into the mainstream.
Care Fellows have told their stories in the media and with their elected officials – and have built meaningful relationships with many different types of people across the U.S. other people who understand the value of care.
Now it could be your turn to join an outstanding group of caregivers who make waves in policy, popular culture, and the greater caregiving community. The application for the 2022 Care Fellows cohort is now open!
Submit your application today. Applications close on June 6, 2022.
Our Care Fellowship will change your life and allow you to meet caregivers from across the country.
Within the fellowship, we’ll work together to sharpen your written and oral storytelling skills, give you the opportunity to advocate for caregiving policy, engage in civic leadership, and connect to other family caregivers.
I started my career at Caring Across as a Care Fellow in 2019 — and I’m so thankful for the opportunity because of how it's allowed me to make change and connect with other caregivers on a meaningful level. But you don’t have to just hear about the program from me.
This is what this year’s Care Fellows have to say about the program:
- “By participating in the Care Fellows Program, I can improve storytelling skills, learn more about effective advocacy for caregiving policy, and ignite collective civic leadership. With my cohort of family caregivers, I seek the inspiration and hope to inspire national change in how care is given, received, and perceived.”
– Karen Kwok, 2021 Care Fellow
- What I appreciate about the Caring Across Generations Fellowship is the guidance and empowerment tools the team provided that allowed me to advocate more effectively and confidently. I've always shied away from ‘politics’ and government, but with the training and coaching of the Caring Across team, I felt more equipped and supported to engage at a new level. The Fellowship also broadened my advocacy platform beyond my local area. I'm forever grateful for the experience.”
– Jerri McElroy, 2021 Care Fellow
- “The Caring Across Generations Fellowship has given me the opportunity to not only deepen my knowledge and understanding of policy related to caregiving issues and how to use my voice to support the work, but has also given me a cohort of caregivers from across the country that I am happy to now call friends.”
– Allison Breininger, 2021 Care Fellow
The Care Fellowship is a paid program for people affected by care. People of color and people with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.
Applications close on May 30. Submit your application today to join the next cohort of Care Fellows.

With care,
