John,

We want to keep you up-to-date on Jared’s work advocating for Mainers and breaking through partisan gridlock in Congress, so here is just some of what Rep. Golden has been working on since our last newsletter.

BEING RECOGNIZED FOR HIS RECORD OF WORKING ACROSS THE AISLE:
Jared knows putting partisanship aside is an important way to get things done in Congress. From day one, he’s worked across the aisle to support Maine workers, and recently, the Lugar Center recognized Jared as one of the top 10 most bipartisan lawmakers in the House.

PROVIDING WAR REPARATIONS TO UKRAINE:
Jared believes that America should continue to find new ways to apply economic pressure to Putin and his cronies and to provide support to the Ukrainian people. That’s why last month, he introduced a bipartisan bill to use the Russian assets we have seized to begin to rebuild Ukraine and help the brave Ukrainian people dig out of the unprovoked death and destruction that Putin has unleashed on their country.

SUPPORTING MAINE’S SMALL BUSINESSES:
Earlier this year, Jared introduced the Small Business Development Centers Improvement Act to reauthorize and expand Small Business Development Centers that help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Recently, it passed in the House with broad support from Republicans and Democrats.

HELPING FIREFIGHTERS WHO DEVELOP INJURIES OR ILLNESSES ON THE JOB:
Firefighting is a dangerous job, and many firefighters develop long-term illnesses or injuries over the course of their careers. That’s why Jared cosponsored the Federal Firefighters Fairness Act to help those affected firefighters get the care and resources they need – and the bill passed the House last month.

SUPPORTING MAINE’S AIRPORTS:
Thanks to Jared’s leadership, the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded over $2.6 million in infrastructure funding for six airports in Maine’s Second District. These grants will go to larger airports like Bangor and Presque Isle, and smaller municipal facilities in rural areas like Princeton and Eastport.

LAUNCHING TEAM GOLDEN’S MERCH STORE:
We just launched our brand new merch store, and we wanted you to be the first to know. We have t-shirts, hats, and more – so head over to [link removed] to pick out your favorite Jared Golden merch!

We know that none of this would have been possible without your continued support. Thank you for being on our team.

Sincerely,
Team Golden

P.S. Things are heating up in ME-02. The GOP establishment listed Jared as a top target to beat in November, and after redistricting, ME-02 continues to be rated a “Toss-Up.” We can’t let them undo the progress we’ve made, so if you can, will you chip in $5 or more to send Jared back to Washington this fall and to continue his work fighting for Mainers in Congress?
