This year’s midterms are a referendum on Republicans’ reactionary agenda Indivisibles,
One month ago today, the Supreme Court’s draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked. And here’s the story Republicans are hoping you don’t hear: Their plan was never to stop there. By overturning Roe and dismantling the privacy protections it grants, they’re setting the stage to roll back countless other rights from marriage equality to contraceptive access.
And while GOP consultants are working hard to convince the public they don’t really want to take away our rights1, Republican elected officials and candidates alike are betraying their game. Across the country, they’re refusing to rule out or even openly supporting new restrictions on contraception.2
This year’s midterms are a referendum on the reactionary agenda Republicans are enacting nationwide -- so it’s more important than ever that we fight to hold and win as many seats as possible. We’re going all in to elect strong progressives who’ll fight to protect and expand our fundamental rights, and we need your help. Republicans have been working tirelessly for decades to realize this radical, right-wing agenda. And they’re not stopping -- which means we can’t either. We know it’s scary to think about everything they’re hoping to enact, but we also know that Indivisibles can win big when we fight together. Let’s get going.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team
