View this email in your browser Hello all, Today is the last day to apply for Families USA's next cohort of Health Equity Academy Fellows. The goal of the fellowship is to cultivate a group of advocates from across the country who are equipped to pursue policy advocacy on health equity at the state, community and/or federal level over a year-long period. In particular, this upcoming Academy will focus on advocacy strategies to advance policies focused on diversifying the health care workforce and expanding access to culturally competent behavioral health care. Fellows will attend two virtual half-day trainings on June 28-29. Fellows will then join a national group of state and community-based health equity advocates who reconvene on monthly calls to maintain relationships, discuss strategies for pursuing policy advocacy on health equity in their own states/communities, and learn and share from one another.
