Before the holiday, Ro issued a call. We were over 2,000 gifts behind on our deadline, and to be honest with you, things weren’t looking great.
But people like you stepped up. Since the 26th, over 1,000 people have contributed to Ro’s reelection campaign — showing solidarity with our progressive movement, and keeping him in the fight.
Seeing that kind of support is truly humbling. It means that as we stand up for real Medicare for All, as we fight to make public colleges tuition-free, and as we build an economy that works for every American, voters are behind us.
I know that we ask for your support often. But that’s the nature of a people-powered campaign — there’s no massive corporate PAC to bail us out when times get tough.
Ro could be like a lot of other members of Congress who don’t bother to build an inclusive movement, and who just fundraise from lobbyists day in and day out. But that compromises your values, and Ro would never sacrifice what he stands for.
Together, we’re showing everyone what’s possible — that you can stand against money in politics by refusing all PAC donations. That you can fund a reelection campaign by focusing on the grassroots, and showing people that everyone has a place in your movement.
Thanks for having our back.
In solidarity,
Team Ro
