Dear Members,
While most of our efforts center around St. Louis City, it is not lost on us that we are a very blue, very tiny dot on the map compared to most of our neighbors in both the county and the rest of Missouri. The STLYD board wants to increase our presence in county affairs and we need your help to do so!
In the upcoming August primary, Democrat St. Louis County Council Chairwoman Rita Heard Days faces a challenger, Terry Wilson. Our board is partnering with county organizations to host a forum between the two. Saint Louis County, District One is one of the most disinvested, disengaged districts in St. Louis County and we want to help change that.
We are seeking a few members to join the forum planning committee, to meet once a week until the day of the event on July 16. With your help, we will make this a successful and engaging virtual event with a strong turnout.
