John,
Montana’s big game rifle season comes to an end this weekend. I hope you had the opportunity to find that trophy buck or stock your freezer full for the long winter months ahead.
As the fall season gives way to winter, I want to make sure you saw our previous posts on our fight in court to protect Montana's open spaces:

Thanks to our win in the courtroom, we saved the Habitat Montana Program, protecting our farms and ranches, wildlife habitat, and open spaces. There are now more than 200,000 acres of conservation easements in the works because of our win in court.
Politicians like to talk about public lands.
As an advocate, I’ve done more than just talk.
Our public lands and access to hunt and recreate makes Montana special. They help us carry on the traditions of responsible hunting, fishing, and stewardship our parents taught us and their parents taught them.
Cases like this are one of the reasons I got into this race. We need an Attorney General who fights for us, not against. Who wants to protect public lands and rural communities, not sell them off to rich special interests.

I hope you’ve had the opportunity to access these special places this past hunting season. If not, take a look below at some new public access sites and make a plan to visit these lands next year for that trophy buck.
If you are hunting this final weekend, have fun, be safe, and stay warm.
