In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled to legalize abortion nationwide in the landmark case Roe v. Wade.

But with the conservative majority on the Supreme Court poised to overturn Roe, the right to safe and legal abortion is under threat.

Anti-choice legislators around the country are already taking action to rollback abortion rights, with some states passing severe abortion bans. 13 states have trigger laws on the books, and 26 states are likely to ban abortion if Roe gets overturned.

The 1973 Action Fund is committed to preserving the reproductive rights of all Americans. We’re fighting to flip competitive state legislatures blue, elect Democratic Governors who will veto anti-abortion legislation, and secure House and Senate majorities that will enshrine Roe v. Wade into federal law.
