The cities of Auburn & Lewiston are honored to invite you to join us on Friday, June 10 at 5:30PM as we dedicate the John T. Jenkins Memorial Footbridge.
Like our beloved friend, who was a mentor, teacher, community leader and mayor of both cities, this beautiful bridge connects and unites our two communities. It seems only fitting that we should honor him in this way…we hope you will join us.

The dedication ceremony will be held in the middle of the footbridge. There will also be activities on both sides of the river prior to the ceremony to commemorate some of John’s favorite things:
3:30PM in Lewiston | Children’s storytime: “Teamwork: Together Each Action Matters” with Mayor Carl L. Sheline [Simard-Payne Park]
4:30PM in Auburn | Karate demonstration by Phoenix No Limits Karate [Bonney Park]
5:00PM in Auburn | Tai Chi demonstration by Seniors Plus [Bonney Park]
Parking in Auburn | Park at Bonney Park (Main St.) or in Great Falls Plaza & follow the Riverwalk to the ceremony. Enjoy photos & stories about John’s life along the way.
Parking in Lewiston | Event parking is available in Simard-Payne Park, in the Chestnut Street Parking Garage or on-street.
