Dear friends,

As we reach out to you today to provide updates on our work, we mourn the 21 souls taken from this world just last week at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Stand with Parkland’s founding families know the devastation of the Texas families that have been torn apart all too well.

America’s schools should be places of learning, not fear, violence, and death.

To honor the loved ones we lost in the Parkland school massacre four years ago, for these young children and dedicated teachers who lost their lives in Texas, and for all of the people who have lost their lives in the all too frequent preventable violence in schools, Stand with Parkland invites you to join us and make your voice heard as we continue to champion the school safety movement by coming together with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to find pragmatic solutions.

The day after the tragic shooting, our President Tony Montalto spoke on CBS News about pragmatic solutions to prevent violence in schools, such as the bipartisan EAGLES Act.

He said, “We need to…listen to the folks in the middle. The folks that are, just like the President, sick and tired of watching our school children be murdered at school. It’s incumbent on the government to protect our children, and we need everyone to come together as an American family and look at what unites us. And what unites us more than wanting our children and our teachers to be safe at school?”

On Anderson Cooper 360, Tony Montalto spoke about the grief that families are left with in the wake of school shootings and effective solutions to prevent such tragedies, including red flag laws passed in Florida that have protected communities over 5,000 times in under five years.

Please turn your concern to action by joining Stand with Parkland to make positive, pragmatic changes to help prevent another tragic school shooting. We must come together as an American family to make progress on the local, state, and federal levels – there is clearly much work to be done, friends.

If you are able, please consider donating to support our work. Every dollar has a real impact on schools safety in our country.

Our voice is strongest when we speak as one.
