New details are emerging over the super PAC attacking Rashida and attempting to uplift at least one of her Democratic primary opponents. According to the PAC itself:
"UEA PAC's premier race will be in Michigan's 12th Congressional District, where the group plans to spend upwards of $1 million on TV, digital, mail, radio, and print advertising...."1
This pro-AIPAC group, funded by a hedge fund billionaire, is preparing to flood Rashida’s district with misinformation and attack ads, which is the same playbook used to defeat Nida Allam in North Carolina and cut Summer Lee’s victory to just 740 votes after leading by 25 points just weeks before her primary election.
The super PAC and its supporters have a history of supporting Democrats and Republicans alike. Just look at this tweet from super PAC spokesperson Bakari Sellers at an AIPAC convention with late GOP mega donor Sheldon Adelson:
Rashida needs our help to fight back against conservative Democrats seeking to undermine her leadership and our progressive agenda.
