Insurrectionist and compulsive liar Madison Cawthorn will not be returning to Congress next year. As you’ve probably heard, even North Carolina Republicans were so sick of his lies, scandals, and poorly-run campaign that they showed him the door in the primary.
But Cawthorn isn’t the only one. Madison is the 13th member of The 147 that has already precluded themselves from being sworn into our nation’s 118th Congress in 2023.
Seven are running for higher office, three retired, two passed away, and Madison lost.
But the remaining 134 aren’t going to hold themselves accountable. With more than 90% of those responsible for inciting the January 6th Insurrection still in office, we need to fight hard through November to guarantee that the peaceful transition of power is never threatened again.
