John,
While consumers get hammered by the highest gas prices in more than a decade, greedy fossil fuel corporations like Exxon, BP and Shell are raking in billions – shamelessly taking advantage of crises across the globe and pushing for more dangerous drilling and fracking. Their goal: maximum profit, regardless of who suffers.
High prices have a particularly severe impact on low-income families that are already struggling to make ends meet, and are often on the frontlines of industry pollution and rapidly intensifying climate impacts. It’s time to stop the drilling, halt the harm and move to an equitable renewable energy future.
Tell Congress: We need urgent climate action NOW to avert climate chaos!

Ignoring the writing on the wall, big energy companies are still pushing to increase oil and gas production. But that won’t bring down price spikes at the pump – it’ll only fuel the climate crisis and fatten the wallets of oil execs.
Our window to prevent all-out climate chaos is rapidly closing, but the federal government is busy approving more fossil fuel infrastructure to lock us into decades more emissions. If we want a livable future, we can't afford to go down that path.
Congress needs to lead us back from the climate cliff with legislation to move toward a future without fossil fuels: the Future Generations Protection Act. This critical legislation would:
-- Ban fracking
-- Ban greenhouse gas emissions from all new power plants
-- Ban export of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids
Now is the moment to demand our elected leaders stop fossil fuel development and ramp up the transition to clean, renewable energy. There's no time to waste.
Take action today: Urge your representative to cosponsor the Future Generations Protection Act!
