As more details arise about the senseless mass shooting in Uvalde, we find ourselves getting angrier and angrier, John. Our society is failing our children, and it's time to make the callous lawmakers who refuse to prevent gun violence answer for their inaction.

Make no mistake: The death toll of this shooting — 19 children and two teachers — was so high because the shooter used an assault weapon. We need these weapons of war off our streets NOW, so we put together a rapid-response survey to hear where top supporters like you stand. Tell us now:

Do you support banning military-style assault weapons?

Republican lawmakers refuse to consider these life-saving reforms for fear of angering the NRA. Texas "leaders" like Greg Abbott and Ted Cruz sent empty thoughts and prayer to the survivors — and now, Cruz plans to join Donald Trump at the NRA's annual conference just a few hours from Uvalde to push their guns-everywhere agenda.

We all need to get involved so we can defeat the NRA and their pocket politicians. That's why we're calling on concerned Americans everywhere to speak out NOW. But we need another 14 responses from your area, and our survey deadline is approaching fast, so please tell us now:
