London Government Dinner

London leaders including Camden Leader Cllr Georgia Gould, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and the Lord Mayor of London Vincent Keavney gathered at the Mansion House in the City of London on Monday evening for the annual London Government Dinner.

In her speech Cllr Gould thanked London Councils' fellow group leaders Ruth Dombey, Teresa O'Neill and Catherine McGuinness, as well as Elizabeth Campbell on the economic side, for their joint work throughout London's collective response to the pandemic. "I hope that the last three years finally show national leaders of all sides that local government matters", she said. "It is a lifeline and a safety net. We are there when everything else fails. And as things get tougher for our communities, councils will be more important than ever."
