I'm going to be honest with you, the past few weeks have been tough. With the tragic news of the mass shootings, the leaked SCOTUS opinion that overturns Roe v. Wade, coupled in a context of economic insecurity, it's a dark time for our country.
But we cannot lose our resolve.
The truth is, John, we cannot wait for change to come, the responsibility is on all of us to dig deep to make it happen. Republicans like Mike Garcia have shown us they are not interested in finding solutions to our country's most pressing problems, even when those problems involve the senseless killing of children.
I know you're tired, frustrated, and maybe even slightly numb from these overwhelming news cycles. I do hope you'll take time to take care of yourself and spend time with your loved ones.
