I am about to say something my opponent refuses to: I am rejecting donations from corporate PACs in our race for U.S. Senate.
Why? Because they have too much influence in Washington. It’s that simple. But this means I’m going to need all the support I can muster from folks like you chipping in whatever you can afford.
Decisions like these should be a no-brainer for elected leaders, but that hasn’t been the case. That’s one reason corruption runs rampant through our political system and our government.
We are doing things a little differently -- by growing this campaign the right way. Unlike Senator Thom Tillis, we’re relying on folks like you to give whatever you can afford to support our campaign because you believe it’s time to defeat the political corruption and gridlock in Washington.
That’s how we’re going to win this race, but we need to keep building our momentum to get us across the finish line next November.
Hitting our fundraising goals is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle because we know Mitch McConnell and Thom Tillis are going to have an endless stream of dark money to come after us. So, I’m asking:
If we stick together over the coming weeks and months, there is no amount of dark money they can spend to stop us. I believe it, and I hope you do too.
