Subject: Let’s be on the right side of history
Friend – it’s been a difficult month for all of us.
Even in the midst of the global pandemic, the tragedies in New York and Texas have stopped us in our tracks.
Our Democratic AGs are more determined than ever to take action. Texas’s Democratic AG nominee, Rochelle Garza, is committed to passing background checks and other common sense regulations when she unseats Ken Paxton this fall. In New York, AG Letitia James is running an investigation into social media platforms that allow hatred to spread unchecked. Dem AGs will never stand by in a time of crisis.
The fight to build a safer, more equitable country has been happening for centuries in America – and we don’t see it stopping any time soon.
While Republican AGs continue to oppose reasonable background check laws and restrictions on assault weapons, we know that Democratic AGs will always be on the right side of history when it comes to protecting our communities. We need your help to make sure that they are able to continue their work this year.
