My fellow Republicans,
The voters have spoken and we have our County Party Chairman and Precinct Chairs for the 2022-2024 term, which begins June 13. Congratulations to Jeff McManus, Republican Party of Bexar County Chair-elect. I’ll be sending out one more edition of this newsletter on June 7, and the following edition will come from the new Chairman.
All other results can be seen and downloaded at https://home.bexar.org/el45a.html.
Congratulations to Cassy Garcia and Dan McQueen, who we need to send to Washington, DC, this November. At the statewide level, winners were Paxton, Buckingham, and Christian. A special welcome is extended to the 32 newly elected Precinct Chairs, most of whom had never before appeared on the ballot. Of course, we also want to thank those who were not victorious. There is more than enough work to do for all of us, whether we won on May 24 or lost.
Election Day celebrations last Tuesday were largely canceled due to the horrific events in Uvalde. Like everyone, we have struggled to understand what happened, and how. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the tragedy. Many of us have direct connections to friends or family in the Uvalde area, and it will take a long time to accept this shocking news, let alone come to terms with our grief.
God Bless you all, God Bless Texas and God Bless the United States of America.
John Austin,
Chairman
