Team –
In just a few hours, I’m up against our final end-of-month deadline before the upcoming primary just one week from today. Here’s why that’s so important – and why I’m asking you to pitch in to my campaign right now.
It’s no secret that this has been a tough month for our country. Reproductive rights are on the line. Climate change is threatening our communities. And even in a month when we have seen families torn apart by some of the most devastating mass shootings in our nation’s history, Republicans are refusing to take commonsense actions to prevent gun violence.
But it doesn’t have to be that way – California is proof of that. Here in California, we have some of the strongest protections for reproductive freedom anywhere in the country. We’re taking action to expand affordable housing, protect health care, get guns out of the hands of those who would do harm, and hold corporations accountable.
California’s Department of Justice is a critical component of that work, and even as I know that we can and must do more to safeguard our communities and ensure a bright future for our state, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together.
That work is on the line this year – my opponents won’t so much as commit to protecting Roe in California, let alone take meaningful action on climate change and gun violence. That’s why I’m asking:
Right now, I need you standing with me. Will you pitch in to my campaign before our end-of-month deadline tonight at midnight?
Thank you,
Rob Bonta
