Friend, with just hours left before tonight's end-of-month fundraising deadline, I need to follow up on Sen. Blumenthal's urgent message below.

The GOP is going all in to flip this seat red and deliver Senate control back to Mitch McConnell, but we're still $1,033 short of what we need to keep this campaign on track to fight back and win. The stakes in our country are just too high to almost reach our goal. We need to raise every last dollar to keep our radical, Trump-loving opponents out of power and make progress on critical issues like gun safety reform and upholding reproductive freedom nationwide.

Because you're a member of this grassroots team, I know how much you care about protecting and expanding rational Senate control. So please, before tonight's midnight deadline, will you rush a donation now to keep this seat in the hands of someone who shares your concern for our democracy and its precious institutions?

Subject: There's too much at stake to fall short

Friend, if even one seat flips red in November, the GOP will regain Senate control – which is why Mitch McConnell and his allies are watching my campaign closely for any sign of vulnerability.

But before I continue, I want to take a moment to share how grateful I am for your continued support. When it matters most, I can always count on you to step up. Thank you.

With our critical end-of-month fundraising deadline quickly approaching, we're forecasted to fall $2,461 short of what we need to stay on track.

But we cannot ignore the urgency of this moment: we cannot signal to Mitch McConnell and the entire GOP establishment that they should target Connecticut's Senate seat. We cannot allow ourselves to fall into that position – not when so much is at stake.

Not when the Republicans in the Senate blocked a defensive violence prevention bill that the House passed just days ago in response to this country's endless gun violence epidemic.1

Not when Oklahoma has banned abortion outright. And a new women's healthcare clinic in Casper, Wyoming, has been torched right before it opens.2

Not when millions are expected to be stripped of their reproductive healthcare at any given moment by the Trump-weighted Supreme Court, and GOP leaders like Mitch McConnell are weighing the possibility of a national abortion ban if they retake Senate control.

Not when I'm facing radical, opponents who – if elected – will be a rubber stamp on disastrous policies like tax hikes on millions of seniors and low-income Americans.

A Republican majority would be a nightmare for our country. That's why coming up short on big goals like this is simply not an option. So please, I'm counting on you to help me close this budget gap and ensure we have the resources to bolster our campaign operations to defend this seat – for safety from gun violence, reproductive rights, accountability for Donald Trump, and so much more.

I know you're someone who cares deeply about protecting Senate control, so I hope you'll come through today in this critical moment for our nation: Please, before my end-of-month deadline, will you donate $ or more to defend this Senate seat and keep the Senate sane? Every bit of grassroots support will make a critical difference in the challenging months ahead.
