| John -- What’s motivating me to run for Congress is so much more than beating Steve King. Yes, this campaign is about getting Steve King’s hateful rhetoric and selfish ideology out of Congress. But more than that, people across Iowa’s 4th district care about the kind of representative they send to Washington in his place. I’ve heard from family farmers who are forced to take on second jobs in order to make ends meet. I’ve talked to people worried about the sky-high cost of healthcare and prescription drugs. And time and again, Iowans have told me that they no longer want to feel forgotten by career politicians. I’m fed up with how rural communities have been left behind. I will be a different type of Congressman -- one who will listen to the people, one who will always show up. We have a real shot at this, but it will take a huge grassroots movement in order to win. John, it won’t be easy, but together we can beat Steve King. Chip in $5 or more before tonight’s fundraising deadline, and we’ll be able to make this happen. Every dollar counts toward our goal. This will be an uphill battle, and we need a lot of resources to campaign hard in all 39 counties of the 4th district. We’re still behind where we need to be for tonight’s deadline, and it’s so important that we reach our goal. But I believe in the people of this district. Working together, we can win back our seat at the table. As this campaign has grown, I’m so grateful to see so many people believe in us. Please, if you believe we can do this, can you chip in whatever you can before tonight’s end-of-month deadline? This is the first deadline that’s less than a year from the election.
