Friend,
Last Friday, I joined thousands of Texans in Houston making their voices heard and telling the National Rifle Association loud and clear that they are not welcome in our state. It’s hard to really articulate the outrage I saw on Friday, the outrage I’ve seen from millions of Americans since the horrific shooting in Uvalde a week ago today.
But friend, I can tell you this: people are angry. And they’re angry at Greg Abbott.
Greg Abbott’s tenure in the Governor’s Mansion has been a complete and utter failure, letting Texans down time and again.
Abbott’s gross mismanagement of COVID-19 cost our state thousands of lives. From opening our state far too early to supporting bans on vaccine mandates, Abbott failed to protect us from the devastating effects of this pandemic.
Abbott completely failed to prepare for and respond to the winter storm that devastated Texans last February. And he’s done absolutely nothing to prevent another energy disaster from striking our state -- which could be coming as soon as this summer.
Abbott’s countless policy failures at our southern border have tanked our state’s economy and created a humanitarian crisis for migrants and their families.
Abbott has lined his pockets with NRA money, rolling back even the most bare minimum life-saving gun violence prevention measures. This callous attitude is what has allowed tragedies like the ones in El Paso, Santa Fe, Midland-Odessa, and Uvalde to persist.
Friend, our state cannot tolerate another failure from Governor Abbott.
We’re working around the clock to ensure that Abbott’s days in office are numbered, but we can’t kick him out without your help. Will you rush $7 before our end-of-month fundraising deadline to fire Greg Abbott on November 8th?

In the wake of this unimaginable tragedy, the only thing we can do is work tirelessly to ensure this one is the last. Governor Abbott has blood on his hands. He needs to know that his actions have consequences.
