Team, I wanted to check in real quick to update you on our fundraising progress.
Last week we launched a $5,000 end-of-month goal to help fund our work this year. You may be wondering – what exactly does that mean? So let me tell you.
It means that every time an AZ GOP candidate says something crazy, our communications staff is working to make sure the press and voters know the extreme positions these candidates have. As a top toss-up state, with numerous important races on the ballot, that’s a lot of work. Which means our team has to be big enough to handle it.
This goal will help fund our Latino outreach program we told you about weeks ago, where we specifically work to make sure this community is aware of any voter suppression changes. With this program, we can target our messaging directly to their community and help with primary turnout – because it’s the best indicator of what will happen in the general.
These funds will help our other outreach programs to youth voters and rural voters, and our digital advertising as well.
Team, we need grassroots supporters like yourself to help us fund this work. We don’t have billionaire benefactors or special interests funding us. We have people like you.
If we come up short of this goal, we’ll either have to delay or cut these programs. In a state like ours where every race matters as a toss-up state, delays or cuts could mean losses.
