John, our Commonwealth is at a point of crisis due to underrepresentation.

I’m Pennsylvania born and raised. I’ve witnessed first-hand the immense changes our Commonwealth’s demographics have undergone in the last few decades. Our Black, brown, Latinx, and Asian communities are driving our growth. That’s just a fact. Unfortunately, these communities remain vastly underrepresented in our state government.

I believe every single Pennsylvanian deserves to feel empowered and heard by their government. That’s why I started the New Pennsylvania Project, and it’s why I’m asking for your help. We only have a few hours left to hit our goal for the month. Can you donate today to make sure we have the resources to mobilize communities of color and the youth across the Commonwealth during this essential election year?

We’re in the streets day and night registering voters, getting people to the polls, and expanding voting rights. It isn’t easy work, but we have an obligation to pursue fairness even when it is difficult. In our battleground state, every vote really does count — as we are still awaiting official results for the U.S. Senate race on the Republican side.

With years of experience under our belt, we know how to mobilize voters in the Commonwealth. We know how to stretch a budget to ensure every dollar we raise makes as big an impact as possible. But if we don’t have the resources we need to hire organizers, contact voters, host community events, and more, we’ll have to cut some of our essential programs. Will you contribute right now to keep our efforts strong?

Founding Executive Director
The New Pennsylvania Project

-------------------------------------------------------

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented communities of color and immigrant communities. We will register them to vote, provide education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize people to vote in every election.
