As in the question, “Why?”, not me
Hey Friend,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday surrounded by your family, friends, and
plenty of carbs! As you kick back with your loved ones and enjoy the end
of the decade, I hope you’ll join me in reflecting on what has been
accomplished. #GivingTuesday is right around the corner, and it’s the
[ [link removed] ]perfect time to donate to the Institute for a Progressive Nevada (IPN)!

I’m thankful for the incredible work I’ve had the opportunity to do as
part of the IPN team over the past year. IPN is consistently a leader when
it comes to identifying the key issues facing Nevadans, and finding ways
to pull together members of the community to advocate for themselves. We
do this with the ultimate goal of building a Nevada where everyone has a
fair opportunity to succeed - one where children can go to school without
the fear of gun violence, where everyone can vote, and where no community
is underserved by a robust clean energy economy.

On my journey from Organizer to Communications Director, I’ve had the
chance to go from meeting, training, and mobilizing people on those issues
to working directly with members of the press to get those very same
people in front of a camera or on the page of your favorite newspaper.

Why continue doing this work? My ‘why’ is my drive to solve problems with
clever, innovative solutions is what gets me up each morning ready to
engage with the latest issues of the day. I get a rush out of taking an
issue like prescription drug costs or the latest nominee for a federal
judgeship, picking it apart to find the resonating point of conflict,
craft a messaging guide, and unite the voices of community members and
allied organizations to push for justice. Experiencing that feeling of
building collective power and ensuring the revolution IS televised is
‘WHY’ I do what I do.

But I can’t do it alone. My work depends on the support of donations from
folks like you! On #GivingTuesday, I’m asking you to [ [link removed] ]make a donation to
IPN to keep the communications work up and running at full capacity. I’m
so thankful for all your support and any size donation helps!

Thank you and have a happy holiday season!

Will

Communications Director
