As we spent Thanksgiving with our families and loved ones this week, we paused for a moment of reflection and were filled with gratitude for you and the generosity you’ve shown through the giving of your time and resources in order to advance the movement to end sexual exploitation.
The real objective of full decriminalization is an unregulated prostitution marketplace, where people can be sexually exploited with impunity. NCOSE is helping hold the line in order to protect the rights of the vulnerable and marginalized.
The National Center on Sexual exploitation is urging every state to pass legislation prohibiting so called “mistake of age” defenses for perpetrators of child sex trafficking and related offenses such as, soliciting a child for prostitution, buying a commercial sex act from a minor, promoting prostitution of a minor, and commercial exploitation of a minor.
The National Center on Sexual Exploitation, together with other leading experts in many disciplines, is working to expose the public health crisis of pornography. We are continuing to work to get the help of government, corporate, and opinion leaders to begin to solve these complex problems.
We are grateful to serve with you in this movement!
Sincerely,
Dawn Hawkins
Senior Vice President and Executive Director
National Center on Sexual Exploitation
