APAHM frame featuring Madison Villanueva
Mabuhay, Immigrants Rising pamilya!
My name is Madison Villanueva, and I am one of the Entrepreneurship Managers. I empower Asian American undocumented entrepreneurs, some of whom you’ll be reading more about in this newsletter. As a DACAmented Pinay myself, the undocuAPI community is near and dear to my heart. For nearly a decade, I have been part of UPLIFT ([link removed]) , nurturing the leadership of undocuAPIs and cultivating community. I’m a part of ALOE ([link removed]) as well, where we host yearly virtual events to connect undocuAPIs around the country.
Last year, I worked on an Immigrants Rising resource titled Increasing Inclusivity for UndocuAPI Students on Your Campus ([link removed]) with my fellow UPLIFT member Siyue (Lena) Wang. Our goal was to raise awareness of undocuAPI experiences and encourage collective and institutional efforts for inclusion. I hope you can revisit this resource and amplify it so that we can make an even greater impact for the students who need it.

Although the month may be wrapping up, our efforts to increase visibility and build power with our undocuAPI loved ones will never stop. In the face of heightened violence against our communities, we invite you to join us in supporting, uplifting, and empowering undocuAPIs.
Salamat,
Madison
