John, I am proud to say I don’t take a cent from corporate PACs because I’ve always been determined to run a campaign by, for, and informed by the people I serve. I choose community over checks, but that’s exactly where our Republican opponent will hit us hardest: our bank account.
In our primary election, we saw corporate-backed super PACs spend over four million dollars to try and keep us down in a Democratic primary. We know that our Republican opponents will stop at nothing to keep us down because winning this race will mean that grassroots progressive power can triumph over the status quo — and they’re terrified to lose that power.
