John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:Who is the Left's favorite banker? ([link removed]
Few things demonstrate labor unions' deep ties to the Left better than Amalgamated Bank, which is controlled by the SEIU (Service Employees International Union). With clients that include top left-wing political players, Amalgamated is engaged in everything from nonprofit grantmaking to the corporate activist campaign known as "ESG" (environmental, social, and governance). CRC's Robert Stilson and Hayden Ludwig expose the Left's financial juggernaut here ([link removed] is the Left federalizing elections? ([link removed]
Demos, a think tank with ties to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), is influencing the Biden administration's effort to increase the federal government's role in elections. Demos applauded and claimed credit when the President directed federal agencies to distribute registration and vote-by-mail applications. This is just the start of a project to wrest control of elections from the states. Hayden Ludwig reveals the lines of attack here ([link removed] is the "Joy Silk doctrine"? ([link removed]
The PRO Act has stalled, so the labor policy battlefield has shifted. The general counsel for the National Labor Relations Board aims to let unions organize businesses by using the controversial "card check" method. The scheme would revive the long-dead "Joy Silk doctrine," which shifts the burden of proof from the union seeking recognition on to the employer. In addition, after attempts to organize McDonald's nationally fizzled, unions shifted to shop-level organizing, with some success at Starbucks and Amazon. CRC's Michael Watson exposes the threats here ([link removed] is Pierre Omidyar's money going? ([link removed]
A mega-donor has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into transforming America, and he's not George Soros. Meet Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay, whose nonprofits have paid out over $1.1 billion to various causes, especially efforts to "reimagine capitalism." His funding has also found its way to Arabella Advisors' New Venture Fund and to the Center for Tech and Civic Life of "Zuck bucks" fame. Hayden Ludwig follows the money trails here ([link removed]

How Ibram X. Kendi Pushes "Anti-Racism"

Ibram X. Kendi is a professor, activist, and author best known for pioneering the radical-left ideology of "antiracism," which claims racial differences can only result from racist policies. Kendi argues that there is no such thing as being "non-racist," and that to avoid being racist, individuals must actively combat racism by promoting left-of-center policies.

Kendi also claims other approaches to racial inequalities, such as race-blind policymaking or an emphasis on individual responsibility, are inherently racist. But other scholars dispute Kendi's ideology, arguing that his broad definition of racism casts some of America's leading African-American activists, including Frederick Douglass and W.E.B. Du Bois, as racists.

How Teachers Unions Are Failing Our Students
In this episode ([link removed] Teachers unions sought to expand their power by fighting to keep schools closed -- excuse me, open for "virtual" learning -- for a full year everywhere they could. Now public-school enrollments are tumbling, and evidence is piling up that the school closures harmed students' mental health and expanded the racial achievement gaps the unions claim they want to close.

Ashley Varner, vice president of the Freedom Foundation, which works to counter the unions' influence, joins CRC's Michael Watson to discuss the teachers unions' attempts to justify school closures and more.
