Amanda Makki receives endorsements from four distinguished veterans on Memorial Day

Hi Friend!

We want to start by thanking all of our veterans and active duty servicemen and women. It was a great honor to be at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg where the community came together to place 31,000 American flags on the gravesites of our fallen heroes.

The Tampa Bay Times highlighted a photo of the widow of former Congressman Bill Young and Amanda Makki after the flags were laid. Thank you to all of our volunteers who came out to help.

Major General Randall L. West USMC (Ret) delivered the keynote address at the C.W. Bill Young Bay Pines VA Medical Center Memorial Day service. Yesterday, Amanda announced his endorsement along with other distinguished veterans.

“Amanda Makki is the fighter we need in Washington to protect our conservative values. She has the qualities I look for in a leader and a sense of duty I can respect,” said General Randall West. “Amanda Makki has earned my endorsement through her hard work and dedication to our veterans, our military members, and our great country.”

Below, Colonel Bill Hammack USMC (Ret.) also announced his endorsement of Amanda Makki on Memorial Day.

“I know Amanda Makki and I’ve experienced the deep respect she has for veterans first-hand,” said Col. Bill Hammack. “I have witnessed in her those rare qualities of leadership that will not only represent her constituents but foster her to positions of leadership in our Republic.”

Major General David Scott (FMR) U.S. Air Force and Former U.S. Army General Counsel Steven Morello also endorsed Amanda Makki for Congress on this important day.

“Amanda has the drive, experience, and energy to make an immediate impact in Congress,” said General David Scott. “There is no better candidate to represent conservatives in the Tampa Bay region.”
“Amanda Makki is an outstanding candidate for the U.S. Congress. Amanda was appointed to work with me during one of the most crucial times in American history,” wrote former U.S. Army General Counsel Steven J. Morello in a statement. “Please join me in supporting Amanda Makki today, so that we can win back The House of Representatives and keep Nancy Pelosi from pushing the divisive and harmful Critical Race Theory on our brave men and women of the military.”

This distinguished group joins several other veterans who have already announced their support for Amanda Makki including Belleair Shore Mayor Bob Schmidt, Pro-Veteran SEAL PAC, and Marine Corps General William Keyes (Ret.), respectively.

Amanda described what an honor it is to have their collective endorsements on Memorial Day.

“Today is a day to honor the service and sacrifices of our military members and our veterans,” said Amanda Makki. “On this of all days, I am grateful beyond-measure to each of these distinguished veterans for their patriotism, continued concern for our country, and their careful decision to endorse me in the race for Congress in Florida’s 13th District.”
