Friends -
For the next 84 days, I am going to campaign the way I intend to serve:
With my entire heart and soul.
I am going to be out there — at subways and street fairs, knocking on doors, talking to people — humbly working for every single vote.
Some conversations will be easy. There are a lot of families who are better off because of universal pre-K, 3-K, and believe the vaccine mandates we put in place while I was mayor saved lives.
Some conversations may be more difficult, and that’s fine too.
Because ultimately, this campaign and the job of a representative in Congress is about listening to people and hearing what they feel, and then getting to work for them — whether it’s an individual family, a block, or an entire neighborhood.
Now I don’t expect you to be out there with me every single day. But I do need your help today. Because tonight’s May fundraising deadline is our first test and we need lots of donations before it ends.
So please:
If you can make that donation to ensure we have the resources we need to win, you can count on me to put in the work needed to get it done.
In solidarity,
Bill de Blasio
