Hi John,

It’s hard to believe it but May is almost over and the 2022 election is less than 6 months away.

Before I continue about Janelle’s race, I want to recognize the Texas school shooting last week. It may not have happened in Florida, but it has impacted the entire country.

When I was a freshman at FSU, I was stuck in the library during the Strozier school shooting. I remember calling my mom and telling her that there was an active shooter in the library, and my phone was about to run out of battery, but not to worry because I was hiding with my fellow students on the top floor after we barricaded the door. No parent should ever have to receive that call, and no child or student should ever have to make it.

I am lucky to still be here today, but too many of us have been impacted by gun violence.

I began working on Janelle’s campaign because we share a similar vision for the future. A future that prioritizes the best interest of the people, and most importantly the next generation.

Now more than ever, we have to keep our momentum going. We have to keep working to build the resources Janelle needs to win this race, because we need her leadership in Tallahassee.

Together, we’re going to send Janelle to Tallahassee this November. But with our May deadline fast approaching, we still need to raise $2,891 to reach our goal. Can you chip in $25 before midnight to help us do that?

I’ve seen firsthand how committed Janelle is to improving the lives of those who live in our community and those across our state. We need someone like Janelle representing us in the State Senate. She’ll never back down, no matter the opposition. And she’ll deliver real results for District 38.
