Hey! Remember the Senate? Did some cool things like pass the Affordable Care Act? If you don’t, it’s because they’ve stopped doing anything that matters (except confirming right-wing judges to lifetime appointments, meaning we’ll have to deal with the fallout of the Trump era for the rest of our lives but we’re not going to dwell on that now!)
That’s because of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He sucks.

Here’s the good news: Mitch could lose his job in 2020. Republicans only control the Senate by three seats, so we can take away his majority and actually get our government to work again.
This is our chance to Get Mitch or Die Trying. Nothing less than actual progress hinges on winning back the Senate next year so help out by donating to the 11 races we have a chance to win.
Plus, Mitch himself is up for re-election in Kentucky. So Kentuckians can go straight to the source by voting him out next November. It’s a long shot, but it’s on the table.
In fact, we’ve offered a pseudo-scientific ranking of the seats Democrats might have a chance at flipping, from the “Don’t Fuck It Ups” (places where we really should be able to win, like Arizona, Colorado, and Maine) to the “Long Shots” (like Mitch’s home state, but also South Carolina and Alaska).
It’s not going to be easy, but if Democrats win back the Senate, we might actually see the day when Congress passes laws that protect voting rights, combat climate change, guarantee health care, and protect a woman's right to choose. And maybe, just maybe, we can send Mitch back to Kentucky for good.
