Hi John, I wanted to share some important campaign updates.

A few nights ago, our campaign had our pre-primary election filing deadline with the Federal Election Commission. My team set an ambitious goal to raise $15,000 before the deadline, and thanks to this grassroots team, we finished strong.

Now for the road ahead. We’re entering the summer months, and the race will only ramp up from here. Over the coming weeks, we’ll need considerable resources to expand voter contact to reach voters all across our district.

That brings me to tonight’s deadline, and why I’m asking for your support.

My campaign team is mapping out our voter outreach plan from now until Election Day. We’re looking at the budget and deciding when we can start running TV and digital ads, hire additional staff to knock on doors, send direct mail to undecided voters, and more.

My team sets monthly fundraising goals to keep our finances on track to do everything I outlined above and more. We know earlier voter contact is more critical than ever before. But we can only do that if our finances allow.

Right now, we’re $3,948 short of our May fundraising target. You know I don’t like asking, but we can’t afford to fall behind now.
