Yesterday, when Greg Abbott went to Robb Elementary in Uvalde, he was booed by the crowd gathered there to mourn.
We stand with them.
4 years ago, Greg Abbott promised grieving parents at Santa Fe High School that he would take action to stop gun violence in Texas. He told the same to families in El Paso after the racist attack there.
He lied. He has passed dozens of laws that put more guns on the street in Texas.
Despite saying a lack of mental health care is essential to stopping this string of attacks, Abbott took $210 million out of the Health and Human Services Commission, which is responsible for overseeing mental health care in Texas.
And while parents in Uvalde were waiting to learn if their children were dead, he attended a fundraiser.
If you haven’t yet given to support the families in Uvalde who have had their lives shattered, please contribute here [[link removed]] . They need all of us behind them.
But if you have given, we want to ask your support of our work to defeat Greg Abbott. There is simply no other way to stop the violence. He will NEVER act to stop it, even when he says he will.
If we want to address gun violence in Texas, we MUST do everything in our power to beat Greg Abbott this year. Help us hit our monthly goal so we have the resources to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot: [[link removed]]
