As the first weekend of early voting comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the urgency of this moment and our movement.

 

Taking on a corporate-backed, status quo opponent means that every fleeting moment holds the highest of stakes. Across the country, progressives are holding on by the slimmest of margins. Right now, in TX-28, the difference between an anti-choice, pro-gun “Democrat” and a true, bleeding heart Progressive is being decided by less than 200 votes. That difference will determine representation for hundreds of thousands of people, but also the future of the Democratic Party.

 

With early voting fully underway and our primary election date just around the corner, we are in the middle of the most quintessential part of our election cycle.

 

Right here in Nevada, we have a chance to do something special, but we need the financial support to make it possible.

 

But here’s the good news: This is the most impactful time to reach voters.

 

Every dollar raised right now is another voter contacted, being told that their vote, their voice, and their life matters.

 

It’s another piece of literature going out in the mail.

 

It’s another door being knocked.

 

It’s another person being informed that they have a better option than the status quo.
