NYGOP Chairman Nick Langworthy to Join Senate Minority Leader Ortt, Assembly Minority Leader Barclay, County Executives and Local Officials From Across New York State in Opposition to Democrats’ Legislation That Would Silence Local Government 

New York Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy will join Senate and Assembly Republican leaders and elected officials from across New York State in opposition to Democrats’ legislation that would upend our election system and silence local government at a rally tomorrow, May 31st at 12:00 noon on the steps of the Capitol. 

Democrats’ cynical and unconstitutional legislation would move all local elections to presidential and gubernatorial election cycles, drowning the voices of local taxpayers and local issues. Chairman Langworthy will call on Governor Hochul--a former county clerk--to condemn the legislation and pledge to veto the bill.
