Good evening John,

I hope you’ll take time on this Memorial Day to remember the brave American soldiers and their families whose sacrifices are the foundation of our freedom. 

Without these sacrifices, we would not be able to work for a Georgia where there is opportunity and progress for all people – a place where all Georgians are treated with dignity and have a chance to go as far as their talents and ambitions will take them. 

I will keep fighting to ensure our government takes care of service members and their families, both during their service and when they come home. 

And together, we can all honor the sacrifices of the men and women who died while serving in America’s armed forces by recommitting ourselves to our nation’s founding ideals of freedom, justice, and equality for all. 

So to all who have served, we thank you.
