Memorial Day has always and will continue to be a special day for us to pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice – the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, our freedom, and our democracy.
It is a day that we unite as Americans to remember the fallen ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We must never forget their memories, and we must honor them through action.
As part of the House Veterans’ Affairs committee, and Chairman of the Technology Modernization Subcommittee, I am doing everything in my power to advocate for the health and livelihood of our service members, veterans, and families of the fallen – and I will continue to do so.
The debt our service members have paid can never be repaid, so that is why we are called every day to support and honor our brave men and women.
I encourage everyone to take a moment today to recognize and honor our fallen heroes. We also express our heartfelt thanks to their families and to the brave men and women who continue to serve in the United States and around the world.
