MarketWatch is reporting that the Secretary of State races have been elevated to top-tier status for this year’s midterms because of Trump’s endorsements of Big Lie supporters.

“The most high-profile races will unfold in four of the six states where Trump disputed his 2020 loss to President Joe Biden: Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and Michigan. Trump has endorsed secretary of state candidates in all but one, backing those who support his false claims.

“At stake, say Democrats and others concerned about fair elections, is nothing less than American democracy.”

A nonpartisan group tracking these races says bluntly, "These are the positions that hold the keys to our democracy...We don’t put toddlers in charge of nap time, and we shouldn’t put election deniers in charge of elections.”
