John, Today, Americans join together in remembrance of all our brave armed services members who laid down their lives on behalf of our nation. We must remember that today isn't just a day for barbeques and parties with family and friends, but a solemn day to honor our heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice. We keep the families of those left behind in our prayers as they gather around a table with an empty seat. The geopolitical challenges facing our nation today are great. Russia's unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine is a sobering reminder of how precarious freedom truly is. A strong American military has proved to be a force for peace across the world.
