Dear John,

I probably don’t need to tell you that the American economy is in trouble.

Unprecedented inflation, staggering national debt, a decreasing workforce, Big Tech, woke capital, a rising China, and a dwindling middle class—these are just some of the factors causing many conservatives to ask, “What is the best approach to political economy today?”

Economic principles don’t change. However, different circumstances and crises require different ways of applying those principles. There are many opinions on the right about the best path forward. This July, ISI is providing a space for conservatives to debate their differences.

You’re invited to our American Economic Forum, to be held July 29-30 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., where you will hear leading conservative politicians, intellectuals, and thought leaders debate what being an economic conservative should mean in 2022.

You’ll hear panel discussions on a range of important topics: China, Geonomics, and Great Power Competition; Monetary Policy; Trade; Immigration; Finance; the Medical Industrial Complex, and more.

Speakers include:
  • Acton Institute Research Director Dr. Samuel Gregg
  • Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts
  • Congressman Jim Banks
  • Former Ambassador Robert E. Lighthizer
  • ResPublica Director Phillip Blond
  • And more

For a limited time, students can register for free, and if you’re under 30, tickets are only $50.

It’s time to start doing the hard work of creating a new conservative consensus about how our free economy can better advance the safety and happiness of the American people. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the discussion.

Sincerely,

Johnny Burtka
ISI President and CEO
