John,

Today we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, giving their lives to keep us safe and protect our freedom. It is also a day to reflect on what we have as Americans, which we enjoy because of the sacrifices of others.

We must remember the Servicemembers we have lost and continue to support their loved ones. I am holding our Vets and gold star families in my thoughts today and always.

I will always work in Congress to ensure we support our Servicemembers, their families and loved ones, and keep our promise to our Veterans.

Please join me in taking a moment today to remember and honor these brave men and women. I hope you have a nice and safe Memorial Day.
