Today, we honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
From the War for Independence to the War on Terror, more than one million Americans have laid down their lives for the cause of freedom.

We owe them a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid. And we must always make every effort to preserve the liberties they fought for and died to defend!
Their courage and sacrifice must never be forgotten.
