Friend,

Memorial Day is a time to remember those who have sacrificed their lives serving our great nation in military uniform.

It’s a day to honor those who gave their lives to pursue liberty and the very idea of the United States. We owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude. The highest price of freedom is a cost paid by a brave few. I am forever grateful for their sacrifice.

We must honor their bravery and recommit to the ideals for which they fought. Today I am keeping the families of those who lost loved ones on the battlefield in my thoughts, and I pray for those still in harm’s way today.

Let’s recognize their service and sacrifice for the freedoms that we all enjoy today by lighting a candle in their memory.
