In our entire nation's history, there have only been 15 recorded years that the United States was not at war or engaged in a military conflict. In recent years, the federal government has assumed the responsibility of policing the world, forcing those who enlist to fight in foreign wars.
To properly thank our military members for their service, we need to bring home our troops and stop engaging in endless wars. Too many lives have been sacrificed in conflicts we should have never been involved in.
Joe Biden's America-Last foreign policy has failed in the same way Barack Obama's did before him, and George W. Bush's before that. President Donald J. Trump is the only president in modern-day American history to not start a new military conflict.
President Trump ended wars, signed peace treaties, and brought as many American soldiers home as possible. This is the type of America-First leadership I plan to bring to the United States Senate.
As you attend your parades, picnics, and family get-togethers, please remember that today is more than just a day off from work. Say a prayer for the brave men and women who lost their lives so we could celebrate today. Pray that the men and women who remain stationed overseas will return home safely. And please pray for the families and friends who have lost loved ones fighting for our freedom.
