LEARN: We are hoping to be informed about all the issues about the incineration of our waste in Fairfax County. At our April meeting, Mike Ewall of Energy Justice presented the complex issues and impact on the environment of waste incineration. This month we will hear from Michael Van Brunt, the VP of Permitting and Sustainability for Coventa which is the largest incinerator facility in the area. He will share a video and pictures with us about the daily workings of the facility and answer our questions. We have an opportunity to ask questions and to inform ourselves about this issue.

ACTION: Decide what we can do as individuals and as a group to reduce the volume of waste being incinerated and what alternatives there are.
