John, our latest reports from Iran have shown that at least 161 people have now been killed by the authorities.

Thousands of people have taken to the streets in over 100 Iranian cities since 15 November to protest against the government and the huge increase they’ve made to petrol prices.

The response has been brutal and completely unlawful.

Police are pounding protesters with tear gas, water cannons and live rounds. Deceased and dying citizens  are being taken from hospitals and families being are charged for the bullets used to kill their loved ones.
