Across America, right-wing state legislatures work to allow concealed carry without a permit, arm teachers to the teeth, and keep guns in the hands of domestic abusers.
We need more progressives in Sacramento to help lead other states towards commonsense gun safety laws.
With the California primary just days away on June 7, ballots are being cast now. We’re proud to support three Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidates for the California Legislature, and a strong progressive for CA Board of Equalization.
Meet our California slate:
Fatima Iqbal-Zubair (CA-AD65) is a teacher, immigrant, and mother fighting for renewable energy. Big Oil funds her opponent, and puts multiple refineries in her district that are so toxic, Fatima's students couldn't even use their own football fields.
Dave Jones (CA-SD06) directs the Climate Risk Initiative at the University of California. He's facing massive SuperPAC attack ads from Big Oil, and needs our help to fight back.
Braden Murphy (CA-Board of Equalization) is a proud father of four and progressive activist who was born with cerebral palsy. He'll work to ensure corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share.
Rebecca Chenoweth (CA-AD5) leads a nonprofit that works to save lives by empowering survivors and educating communities to stand up to domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking.
